Why should I order my dress online?

Custom Wedding Dresses Online: While brick-and-mortar bridal boutiques carry some advantages (like letting brides touch and feel gown options, free champagne, and service of in-person salespeople that sometimes may be a little pushy), Shop A.Cherie’s online process provides brides a better experience along each of these areas:

-Unlimited design options: through semi-custom designs or choosing the Bespoke process. Brides aren’t stuck with the limited inventory of a store since we focus on made to order items as well as not being able to "alter the design" in a store.
-Lower prices: We have direct relationships with manufacturers that help our client now save more money without a lot of overhead of stock items.
-Inclusive sizes and better fit: A.Cherie’s dresses are made-to-order for each bride using our exclusive measurement guide.

Our biggest advantage is that we can allow ourselves to create dresses the way our brides dream of by offering the dresses to be "made to order". We can customize any part of any dress, change colors, add layers of fabrics, remove unnecessary parts or add detachable details upon the client's request. We never charge extra for the size customization, so that every bride can get herself a beautiful wedding dress that was made just for her only.


Other considerations: While shopping for dresses, make sure you understand that if you do buy an off the rack dress, be prepared to spend $500+ on alterations and on top of the price tag for the designer label. Why not go custom and have it made just the way you want it to your measurements?

We strive to create the absolute best dream dresses that we possibly can, while working with the client’s budget, using quality materials, and creating a long-term relationship with each client to make sure every detail is perfect for her special day. Brides should not have to settle for designs off the rack that require so many alterations to achieve the look they are wanting. 

After working on a wide range of custom designs with many different body shapes, we have considered the most important things to clients in our own unique designs: selection / variety, design, price, quality, body-inclusive sizing, shopping experience, and customer service. We have launched our semi-custom line to cater to more brides who are budget conscious but still want to make a dress their own but also offer a complete bespoke option for fully design customization. Whichever route you decide to go, our talented product development team will ensure that you will be blown away by the final product!  While A.Cherie Couture's online model is the best choice for many brides, we aren’t the right fit for everyone. Please read our Faqs and Policies to make sure we are a good fit for you!

We encourage our clients to have a good understanding of what they are wanting before placing an order online. We find it helpful to try on dresses of similar styles and silhouettes just to confirm that you are ready to commit to the design of your dream dress. 

We offer made to measure services or standard sizing. Made to custom measurements is recommended over standard US sizing.

1. Custom Measurements-The customer has the option of entering detailed body measurements instead of her standard size to make sure that the dress will fit very well. The measurements guide will be sent to to the client and it is HIGHLY recommended to take the measurement sheet to a professional tailor or seamstress in your area. A.Cherie Couture is not responsible for ill fit if the measurements provided are not correct. The bride needs to understand the measurements before visiting a tailor to make sure it’s all taken correctly. Please contact us with questions.

2. Three-step-verification process: Once the client sends their measurements, we first make sure that the different body measurements are rational in relation to the other measurements. Following this, we make sure that the pattern is created to the proper measurements and  that the fabric is cut correctly to the size needed after creating the dress patterns on the computer. The third step at the end of the process is that our quality control team measures the final dress product to match it with the size given and make sure the dress is ready for shipping. We make sure that the size is exactly your measurements given to us, and that way there will be no questions about the fit after quality control checking the garments. Pictures are taken of the measurements on the gown.

3. Measurement Fluctuations: In case the client's weight fluctuates, we always recommend creating lace-up at the back instead of a zipper since this can accommodate a variety of sizes. We also create extra material in the seam allowances incase the dress needs to be slightly let out or taken in. Most of our  gowns require minimal alterations as long as the client stays the same to the measurements provided / provided the correct measurements. 

As with any custom wedding dress, some minor alterations might be necessary to achieve the perfect fit. Brides living out of state can use the services of a local professional tailor/seamstress near them if any minor changes are required on the dress on their own expense.

Note to Clients who buy a semi-custom dresses online: Starting January 2023, all client who choose to have in-person appointments with A.Cherie Couture will have a $350.00 added fee for amendments cost if they choose to have a measurement appointment with us, and first fitting appointment in person with their semi-custom dress / online order. If the customer does not wish to pay the fee, the dress can be shipped but no in person appointments will be accepted. Kindly note that this $350.00 fee is only to cover measurements appointment, first fitting / fit issues if measurements are done by us. It does not cover prices related to the bride changing the design of the dress after it is finished, additional requested alterations, or bustles added to the dress. The final photos of the dress will be sent to the customer when the dress is finished to make sure the design elements are complete and confirmed. Adding Design requirements is not covered by this $350.00 and will be at the bride’s expense.

Canceling an order: After placing an order with us, you have 3 days to cancel the order after the purchase date. If 3 days has passed after the order is placed and we have not received your cancelation request, we unfortunately can not offer a refund or credit as the order as already been placed into production. Refund Policy: We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges due to a change of mind or mistakes after placing an order. Our made-to-order and custom-made gowns are individually made by hand according to the measurements provided and your specific customization requests, so please ensure that you review the product description carefully before placing your order. You can contact us at ashley@acherie.com for more information on our online channels. Each gown is handcrafted with great care and quality control and will be checked for defects and faults before shipping. Slight variations of fabric colors and embellishments may occur since every product is handmade and fabric batches may differ. In the unlikely event that there are issues with your made-to-order, made-to-measure, and custom-made gowns, please contact ashley@acherie.com within 3 days of receiving your order if there is a quality issue. There are no refunds or exchanges on custom items and made to order items. 

We ship all our bridal gowns using USPS Ground for guaranteed delivery with signature. The dress will be carefully folded to make sure the beading and all the work is kept protected or vacuum sealed for shipping purposes. It will arrive in our Heavy Duty Garment Bag which will ensure your dress stays protected and dust-proof. . Please do not iron and handle the dress carefully while unboxing. Always take the dress to a professional dry cleaning facility to have it steamed or pressed according to what the material requires. Steaming will be recommended after unboxing and before the wear date. It is recommended to look for professional steaming or pressing once your dress arrives.

Made to Order designs: take pre-existing designs we have created and alters specific design elements based on your own personal style preferences, without customizing every detail of the design. 
Bespoke / Custom Design: Bespoke means fully custom-made. Made based on the specifications of the client ordering the design down to their last requested detail.
Our made to order process is meant to be much more simpler which reflects in the price point of our made to order collections as well.
-With our Made to order dresses we confirm the design with the client either through a phone call or e-mail, send them the order details to confirm via PDF to confirm design details.
-Next, we send the client our custom measurement sheet once the order is placed with the measurement picture guide and all information about how to obtain the accurate measurements.
-At the end of the process once the made to order wedding dress is complete, we send them all final images to the client. There are not pictures provided when the dress is in making, but at the end of the process we send all final images and get your confirmation on things before shipping.

For Semi-Custom Designs that are made to measurements  4-6 months

For Fully Bespoke Custom Designs,  6-12 months

The sooner you decide on your dress, the better for us to set the process in motion to avoid delays. 

If you are in need of your dress sooner than the lead times mentioned above, there is a chance we can still accept the order. It will be considered a rush order and will have a separate rush order fee.

A.Cherie Couture is a leader in Wedding Gown Customization, Gown Customization and Tailoring. Since we customize bridal gowns from scratch, we do not offer an extensive inventory of ready dresses for the brides to try on, so we do not have dresses available for all sizes due to the made to measure aspect of our business. However, we do offer an in-house bridal consultation where the bride can meet a bridal consultant who can guide her throughout the process of turning her idea of the perfect wedding dress into reality. Please refer to our Bespoke process for this kind of appointment.

Measurement appointment only: If you are interested in the measurement appointment only it would be an additonal fee of $175.00 + tax for 1 hour measurement session for an in person meeting with one of our designers.

Semi-Custom designs range from $1,700 - $2,500 USD 

 

Fully Bespoke designs start at $2,200 - $10,000 USD
